Naarm/Melbourne artist Simona Castricum launches her fifth studio album Villain, out 4 September 2026 via her own imprint Trans-Brunswick Express (T-BE), with a national Australian tour across October and November.

Led by singles ‘Rupture’, ‘Outgrown’ and ‘Say Less’, Villain opens Castricum's sound into a full embodiment of guitars, drums and synths. Performing live as a duo with Anetta Nevin on drums, Castricum brings Villain to stages around Australia following appearances at Golden Plains, Dark Mofo and Melbourne Music Week, and performances alongside Lydia Lunch, Drab Majesty, Peaches and !!!.

Recorded between Rolling Stock Studios in Collingwood and Castricum's own Trans-Brunswick Express studio, Villain was produced by Castricum, with vocal production by Sui Zhen, drums engineered by Jonnine Nokes (Screensaver) and mixing by Los Angeles producer Jorge Elbrecht (Wild Nothing, Tamaryn, Sky Ferreira, Japanese Breakfast).
