EVEYA brings OUT LOUD to The Bergy Bandroom for a night of heavy, original music featuring some of Melbourne's most exciting emerging acts.

EVEYA are one of Melbourne's rising alternative metal bands, taking cues from Tool, Deftones and Living Colour while carving out a sound of their own. Blending heavy riffs, soaring melodies and progressive influences, the band's songs know when to hold back and when to hit hard.

Fronted by Annie Jones, whose vocals move effortlessly from intimate to full-throttle, EVEYA has built a reputation for compelling live performances and honest songwriting. If you've only seen Annie on The Voice Australia, expect something completely different here—original music, loud amps and a band that's firmly at home on a local stage.

Opening the night is Riot Act, an alternative metal band blending elements of metal, rock and rap into a powerful, distinctive sound. Combining heavy riffs, dynamic grooves and melodic hooks, Riot Act delivers an intense live experience that sets the tone for an unforgettable night of heavy music.

Following Riot Act is Crestfallen, a hard rock band renowned for their soaring melodic vocals and crushing riffs. Drawing inspiration from modern metal acts including Thornhill, Architects and Bring Me The Horizon, alongside hard rock icons such as Alter Bridge, Creed and Nickelback, Crestfallen blends the heavy instrumentation of modern metal with the clean, melodic vocals of rock to create a sound that is both powerful and memorable. Their energetic live performances and emotionally driven songs continue to leave a lasting impression on audiences wherever they play.

Fresh off performances at SXSW London and across Europe, Melbourne / Naarm electronic artist Dugong Jr returns home to launch his Meant To Me EP Tour, stopping at The Bergy Bandroom on 14 August.

Blending house, hip hop and cinematic textures into a genre-defying electronic sound, Dugong Jr has quickly established himself as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging live acts. Since releasing his acclaimed debut album Good Time Hotel, his catalogue has amassed tens of millions of streams, with breakout single “Reservations” surpassing one million Spotify streams. His growing reputation has seen him support international acts including Chromeo, perform two packed showcases at SXSW Sydney, and, in 2025, sign with Island Records, where his debut single “Patience” (feat. Connie Diiamond & Jordan Dennis) earned triple j rotation and RAGE’s Featured Video of the Week.

Now, following an international run through the UK and Europe, Dugong Jr returns with his biggest live show yet. The Meant To Me Tour showcases a host of brand-new music from his forthcoming EP, alongside fan favourites reimagined for an immersive, high-energy performance.

Spanning hip-hop, rap, alternative, and experimental sounds, the event aims to showcase the diversity and creativity of Melbourne's next generation of artists.

Created and hosted by Cut2TheChase, this event is designed to provide a platform for young and independent musicians to perform in a professional live setting while connecting with new audiences and building a stronger local music community. Whether you're a dedicated supporter of the underground scene or simply looking to discover new talent, Winter Smash: Debut offers an opportunity to experience a lineup of artists who are helping shape the future of Melbourne music.

After years abroad in London, Qatar, the Netherlands and Texas, she now brings her soul-driven R&B to iconic stages across Australia. After receiving praise from Triple J, NOVA and numerous editorial placements, Alisya Rae has proven herself to be one to watch in the Australian music scene. This show will be celebrating her debut EP ‘For the Night’, an Alternative R&B project which explores the building stages of falling for someone and its repetitive cycle, brought to life in the live set with punchy arrangements that showcase this emerging force in her strongest era yet. With a voice that has been classically trained and musicianship beyond her years, Alisya’s audience knows no bounds.

Let her draw you in with her magnetic stage presence, blow you away with her undeniable vocals and leave you feeling fiercely empowered. Alisya Rae ‘For the Night’ EP Launch

New Orleans Cane Hill will perform their debut Australian headline show in Melbourne on Wednesday 19 August at Bergy Bandroom, while on tour with Ocean Grove across the country. They'll be joined by Melbourne's own Melting & Soulsleep.

Forming in 2011, Cane Hill inject towering riffs, soaring melodies and raw heaviness into their unique and compelling sonic DNA. Drawing from metal, alternative and grunge hues, the group seamlessly straddle vulnerability with brutality, lacing their sound with themes of identity, addiction and self-destruction. With three full-length albums in their wake, spanning 2016's Smile, 2018's Too Far

Gone and 2024's A Piece of Me I Never Let You Find, Cane Hill remain in constant pursuit of pushing themselves into darker and more experimental territory; a fact seen most vividly on full display with their gripping live performance that has seen them tour alongside The Plot In You, Sevendust, Killswitch Engage and many more. In 2026, the band will also mark their first Australian tour since 2016, supporting Bullet For My Valentine and Atreyu nationally almost a decade ago.

ULTRAVLT (pronounced "ultraviolet") is a 4-piece pop/punk/alternative band from Melbourne who deliver theatrics and story-telling alongside a hardcore sound. Their latest single "Something to talk about" is an angsty, summer-road-trip banger, released with a home-made music video bursting with love for their craft.

Having recently opened for icons like 'Tonight Alive' and 'The Beautiful Monument', Ultravlt know how to work a crowd and put on a hell of a show.

WICKED ENVY are ready to take over Sydney & Melbourne This August!

Sydney's Rock/Metalcore collective Wicked Envy have announced their Dual Release "Face To Face" on tour in Sydney and Melbourne this coming August. This is the band's debut Melbourne show, which has been a longtime coming and it's gonna be huge.

Enticing you with dark, theatrical antics, powered riffs and enduring vocals, with captivating melodies that you can't help but obsess over. Their debut EP "What The Hell Am I Doing" kicked off in 2022, followed by compelling singles Paralysis Demon and Final Descent, which made quite an impact with heavy media coverage, radio play and streams. Bad Neighbour’s highly anticipated second album ‘Burns From the X-rays’ has just landed through Ninth Life Records. This comes after their first album ‘Millions’ cemented the band’s signature mix of emotionally charged tracks, heartfelt storytelling and big guitar hooks. Hot off multiple national tours with band’s like Hot Mulligan, Tiny Moving Parts and The Smith Street Band, the band cooled things down at the tail end of 2025 to focus on writing the second album - citing that touring with acts like the above was pivotal to the evolution. Serving up the Entrée with singles like ‘Rush Apart’ and ‘Mean Faces’ provided a slice of what was to come - Something painfully deliberate whilst finding unexplored territory in the band’s sound.
