Enter the smokey dreamland and take a trip through risque r&b, druggy disco, adults-only AOR, languid lovers rock, nymphomantic new wave and all manner of uncategorizable moody melters aimed directly at the hips. DJs Richie1250, Steely Ann and The D Word steer the spaceship '77-'93 style from 9pm til 230am, plus beloved chanteuse ESTHER HENDERSON (DTMSM, THE PROTEENS, TEK TEK) swings by around midnight to sing a classic 80s slow jam.

(We don't mind you taking a quick photo or video to post later or saying hello to your friends, but standing in the middle of the dancefloor looking down at your phone or talking loudly is poor Slow Grind etiquette and distracts people trying to focus on the music. Think of it like you're in a movie theatre, if you need to talk to somebody, lean into their ear and whisper.)

- Slow Grind Fever is not specifically a partnered dancing event. Some people dance with a partner, some with a group of friends, some alone with their eyes closed. You can do it how you wanna.

- The vibe of the night is very hazy and sultry, but the vibe is also about having good manners. Don't be all up in someone's personal space if they aren't inviting you.

- To avoid random late night drunks who may not understand this, we stop letting new people in at 1:30. If you are going to turn up after 1:30, the password to get in is LITTLE WILLIE JOHN
